Beacon Farm, Whitby, North Yorkshire

Camping with us

Here at Beacon farm, we have created a campsite dedicated to families. Allowing people to holiday in a relaxed, countryside environment that won’t break the bank. Based a few miles just outside of Whitby our campsite is an ideal base to explore the Yorkshire coast.

Unlike some other campsites, we don’t like to jam pack tents into our field. This ensures there is plenty of room to pitch your tent and for children to play. We work on the premise that if the children are happy then generally the parents are too!

We like to keep things simple. Our camping pitches aren’t marked out, you get to choose where to pitch. This means you can worry more about what’s going on the barbecue than whether your tent is going to fit! We have a few of our FAQ’s below but if you need any more information then feel free to get in touch.

Caravan/Motorhome Season: February – September

Camping Season: April – September (Weather depending)

Please Note: We have minimum stays of 3 nights during bank holidays (4 nights for Spring Bank Holiday) and 2 nights on weekends during the school summer holidays.

Our campsite options

These pitches are situated in our main open field camping area. Pitches aren’t marked out and you get to choose where to pitch, giving you ultimate freedom over your camping trip. You do not need to be a member of the CCC for these pitches.

Price includes up to 4 people and access to 16Amp electric

Situated towards the top of the main camping field, our electric pitches aren’t specifically marked out but you will be given a general area to stick to with your tent. You do not need to be a member of the CCC for these pitches.

Set slightly separate from the main camping field our five caravan and motorhome pitches are part of the camping and caravanning club. Therefore, you need to be a member of the CCC to book. Each pitch is a single hard standing pitch with grass either side.

Price will vary depending on where you pitch and if you require electric or not.

VW size campervans can either pitch in the camping field or the caravan and motorhome pitches but you would need to be a member of the CCC to pitch on the caravan and motorhome pitches.

Additional people

If the number of people in your unit exceeds the four people included in the base price, you will need to pay £3 for each additional person per night.

As long as your furry friends are well behaved and as an owner you keep them on a lead whilst on site and pick up any mess after them we feel no need to charge extra for dogs.

If you would like the full camping experience of toasting marshmallows over a fire but don’t want the hassle of bringing along your own fire pit then we also hire firepits out. Each night of fire pit hire includes a bag of logs, kindling and some firelighters. Fire pits can be arranged whilst on site.

Prices are as follows:
  • 1 night – £10
  • 2 nights – £17
  • 3 nights – £24
  • 4 or more nights – £7 per night
